One of the largest Brazilian insurance companies wanted to do better integration testing in a complex database environment.
The company wanted its integration test environment to deal with a complex database. This included relationships among VSAM files and DB2 tables with partial keys. The relationships were coded directly in the programs which made the environment very resource consuming.
Eccox APT was used to map the database relationships into metadata and thereafter provided an easy way to build and rebuild the environment.
With APT’s unique database test isolation, the company could now run several test cases in a very short time. The first test cases ran gained about 20 to 30% in productivity.
After rerunning several of the test cases, the company gained an estimated 60% increase in productivity, while simultaneously reducing rework by 50%.
